Long-awaited third series of BBC One police drama Luther dark finally started production. Filming for the next four episodes of the show began on Monday, according to the official Facebook event page, which posted photos of stars Idris Elba (right) of the set.
'Luther' star titular Elba as DCI John Luther, a homicide detective whose own demons sometimes threatening cases on which he worked. During the show so far, the work Luther had cost him almost everything in his life, including his wife and quite possibly his mental stability. He worked closely with sociopathic killer Alice Morgan (Ruth Wilson) at a time to solve difficult cases, and has established a working relationship with him is quite interesting. He seems to have come out of the middle of the series through the second series, although it has been hinted that he will be back, at least briefly, for the third series.
Photos of Elba also revealed that Sam Miller, who directed episodes 3 and 4 series 1 and series 2 all, going back to at least the first episode of Luther 3 (and probably the rest as well).
There's no word yet on when Luther 3 will premiere, although it is likely to kick off in early 2013.
